I have always recommended your company. I have survived many renovations, re-doing renovation, new construction and re-doing that, too. I have encountered and learned about every cost cutting maneuver, and lack of standards in workmanship that exist.
Your company stands alone. I have always told people that while they make think they are paying more up front for Tortorella, they are getting quality and they stand behind behind their work. Plus they are upfront about the cost.
Although I service my own pool on a weekly basis, I have never been treated as less of a customer. All repairs have been done in a timely manner, as well as the maintenance issues I do not handle (cleaning my filter etc). We use our pool heavily from April though November.
I had a problem with my pool cover, which I am ashamed to say I did not get from Tortorella, since we had spent so much on the pool. A mistake and my mistake. The problem was that there was a space between my wall and the pool. It was small, but I have 9 rescue dogs and some are small. I was always worried.
Your service department could have left me with my issue, but they did not. They handled it and it cost exactly what they said it would."

"I am writing ... to inform the ASA of the help I received from Joseph Tortorella of Serafina Concrete. I just purchased a new gunite machine to install pools and had some trouble with the mix, workability of the material after it was shot and nozzle technique. The manufacturer of the equipment has been no help due to the fact they have given me misinformation. So, I turned to the ASA for help. I called the ASA to hopefully get some of my questions answered but was told there was no one there to answer them? I was directed to the ASA website Buyers Guide tab and was told to look under consultants. I was hesitant at first because most were pool builders or contractors themselves. I thought, why would another pool builder be willing to help me? Then I found a contact for Serafina Concrete. I went to their website and liked what I saw, information on dry process gunite and excellent equipment. It seemed like they knew what they were doing. So, I called and to my surprise spoke to Joe who was more than willing to and the key here is "knowledgeably" answer my questions and even offer me more tips and advice than I asked for. With his help he righted a sinking ship! The mix he suggested was shot with minimum rebound, dust and was easily finished. As it turned out most of the information the equipment manufacturer had given me such as mix, material pressure, water pressure and nozzle technique made EVERYTHING harder to do! It would have been better if they had just told me they didn't know rather than give me the wrong information. Thank You Joe, you didn't have to help some stranger but I'm grateful you did. Hopefully, twenty years from now I will get a call from some stranger asking for help and I will have the experience and knowledge to pass along as you did."
